She hated to confide in Roberta with Big Bobby's deepest secrets, but she didn't have anyone else to talk to.  Before she could finish dialing the number, the doorbell rang.  "Now who could this be?"  Zenphyn wasn't up to much company.  Well she had been distant for nearly a week now.  She didn't want to face the curious eyes and pointing fingers, associated with whispering and giggling.  Not today, she just didn't have the strength.  She just wanted everything to disappear.  All of her recent emotions and discoveries were overcrowding her mind, and were beginning to take a toll on her well being.  "Who is it?"

"It's me, Roberta. Let me in, I'm getting soaked out here."

"I'm sorry, c'mon on in.  I was jsut about to call you."

     "Oh yeah?  What for?"

"Well, I needed someone to talk to...I mean, I just have so much..."

"Don't say anything else.  I heard about Kavi and my cousin.  Can you believe it?"

"No, I can't, and something about it just doesn't set well with me.  Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for Big Bobby if, and only if he finds true love.  But somehow, I just don't feel like Kavi is being completely honest with his feelings for Big Bobby."

"You sure you aren't jealous, Z?  I mean, you did have a crush on Kavi. And sometimes your relationship with my cousin confuses me.  So, could it be jealousy that you're feeling?"

"Roberta!  How dare you imply...I mean, I didn't have a crush on Ka--"  the look Roberta gave her pushed her honesty forward.  "Every girl in school has a crush on him, but he didn't mean anything to me."

"Well, I have a confession.  Do you remember when you and Big Bobby went to the Apple Orchard on Devil's Night?  I was so mad that I couldn't go."

"Awh, Roberta...I-"   Roberta waved her hand thoughtlessly in the air.

"It wasn't a big deal.  I didn't feel left out or anything like that.  I just was jealous that you and Big Bobby were getting so close." She grabbed Zenphyn's hand and held it in her own. The look she bared in on Zenphyn made Zenphyn feel uncomfortable, and she tried to free her hand from Roberta's firm grip.

"Um, Roberta you don't have to do this."

"Yes, I do.  If I don't do this now, I'll never have the nerve to do it again."  She pulled a loose strand of Zenphyn's hair and tucked it behind Zenphyn's ear.  But she didn't remove her hand from Zenphyn's face, instead she held it there cupping all of Zenphyn's innocence.  "I've always had a crush on you, Z.  Ever since we played truth, dare, promise to repeat in my Uncle Sammy's old barn.  She caressed Zenphyn's ear with her forefinger and thumb, causing unknown and forbidden heat to rise within Zenphyn.

"Roberta.  Roberta, please don't do this.."  Before she could finish her sentence, Roberta's tongue was forcing itself into Zenphyn's mouth.
